Volunteer with the PTO!
No Experience Necessary!
The BEEP Parent Teacher Organization is looking for volunteers for the 2010-2011 school year. The PTO sponsors events throughout the year to build community, provide fun family activities, offer parents workshops on topics of interest, and raise funds for BEEP. Volunteering with the PTO is a great way to meet other parents and make a contribution to BEEP! Whether you just have an hour to give or a lot more, your time contribution will make a big difference. Here are some ways you can get involved:
· Event Volunteer - Add your name to our volunteer list and we will contact you as we are planning each event to see if you’d like to help out. To add your name to the volunteer list, email us at [email protected] or sign up at the next PTO event.
Time Commitment:Up to you! 1 hour at one event up to multiple hours at multiple events.
· Room Parent – Each classroom has a room parent who acts as the liaison to the PTO, communicates classroom needs from the teachers to the parents, and organizes donations to the classroom fund. If you'd like to help the room parents who have signed up this year, they'd love to hear from you directly, or you can email us at [email protected].
Time Commitment: About 2-3 hours per month.
· Board Member – The BEEP PTO Board meets every 4 to 6 weeks to organize the PTO events throughout the year. Board positions for this year are filled, but please let us know if you're interested in joining the Board next year. Time Commitment: About 5-20 hours per month, depending on position and time of year.
